  • Indonesia’s youth unemployment rate is 16.5% (BPS, 2023), largely due to a mismatch between market demands and skill levels.
  • Only 15% of the workforce has access to vocational training, limiting their employability.
  • Economically disadvantaged communities lack opportunities for career counseling, skill development, and industry connections.
  • Conducting 3-month training programs, including 1 month of classroom instruction and 2 months of internship or on-the-job training.
  • Offering market-relevant vocational classes in administration, sales, and entrepreneurship.
  • Providing career preparation support, such as CV and interview training.
  • Engaging with local partners, NGOs, and industries for job placement of participants.
  • Monitoring participants’ progress and offering alumni support systems.

Teach4Hope is an educational program that bridges the gap between education and employability for less privileged people. Vocational training, soft development skills, and eventual job placement are the key elements through which the program trains and empowers participants. Teach4Hope contributes significantly to social improvement by addressing unemployment, fostering community development, and thus helping achieve critical SDGs related to Quality Education, Decent Work, and Reduced Inequalities.
